Relive our first BBC Prom of 2026

Our Prom concert of music by Verdi, Walton and Respighi back on 24 July met with acclaim from the audience in the hall, critics, and those listening at home too. If you missed it or want to enjoy it again, then now is your opportunity.

We’ve just released this behind the scenes video, filmed at rehearsals for the Prom, and featuring interviews with conductor John Wilson, cello soloist Jonathan Aasgaard and leader Charlie Lovell Jones.

But the entire performance continues to be available online. You can enjoy the audio broadcast on BBC Sounds until 12 October while the TV broadcast is available on iPlayer right up until July 2027.
