Gramophone Award win

Sinfonia of London and John Wilson are thrilled to have received the 2022 Gramophone Classical Music Award for a recording in Spatial Audio for Ravel – Orchestral Works on Chandos Records. Conductor John Wilson accepted the award live at the Gramophone Awards ceremony in central London on Tuesday evening.

Featuring the complete original ballets of both Bolero and Mother Goose, and Ravel’s dark and compelling La Valse, the disc was described as ‘ravishing, marvellous and truly captivating‘ (The Daily Mail), ‘unmissable – another absolute winner for these artists‘ (Classical CD choice) and ‘superbly played and sumptuously recorded‘ (BBC Music Magazine).
